Spotted Wing Drosophila Trap / Refill
Drosophila suzukii is a species of fruit fly that is becoming more prevalent in the UK. Unlike its cousin, this pest lays its eggs in unripe fruit in the early season between May and July. All soft fruit (particularly cherries) are susceptible, and while the fruit may look healthy on the outside, the flesh becomes infested with maggots as it ripens. Place the trap, baited with a special attractant, near hedgerows and borders where the flies overwinter to control them before they reach the young fruit. One trap will cover up to 15 sq m.
