Aquilegia Vulgaris William Guinness
The striking purple-black bonnet-like petals of Aquilegia ‘William Guiness’ are contrasted with stark white corolla; providing colour and interest in early summer and filling the seasonal gap in your displays whilst the last of the spring bulbs die back and the summer blooms. Its nectar-filled blooms are loved by bees and are carried on wiry stems above pretty fern-like foliage. This classic cottage garden hardy perennial does well in full sun but is just as happy in shady borders. This Columbine also makes for an attractive cut flower for indoor displays. Height: 75cm (30"). Spread: 30cm (12").
