Wisteria Tiverton
Wisteria ‘Tiverton’ is a vigorous, deciduous climber producing up to 1 metre long racemes of light fragrant, mauve-blue to purple blooms with a delicate yellow accent spot in early summer, followed by graceful twining shoots with long dark green pinnate leaves. ‘Tiverton’ is best grown in full sun or part shade making it the ideal specimen to grow along a sunny wall, arch or pergola. Height: 9m (28′) Spread: 5m (16′).Culinary note: The flowers are the only edible part of the plant and can be made into an aromatic wine. Their flavour is perfumed.
