Viburnum sargentii ‘Onondaga’
A holder of the prestigious RHS Award of Garden Merit, Viburnum sargentii ‘Onondaga’ is easy to grow yet rewarding deciduous shrub that will perform well in most garden situations. Deep purple tinted leaves emerge in spring which eventually matures to a rich green colour and then return to their original purple before they fall. The flowers of this hardy plant have large white sterile blooms surrounding a mass of tiny red buds in a lacecap style, these tiny buds eventually open into a profusion of pink tinged flowers which will be very attractive to all pollinating insects. Flowers March-April. Height 251-300cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
