Silver birch
Silver Birch is charming in a native hedge, intricate stems and twigs of this lovely tree make it perfect to form a dense screen in summer when covered in leaves or when leafless in winter. The brown catkins hang down in late spring to early summer to add more interest and the silver to white coloured bark is why the tree is famous. Height: 12m (39′). Spread: 8m (26′).
