Begonia Rex-Hybrid Escargot
Begonia Rex-Hybrid Escargot Elegant houseplant with unique and exotic foliage! Begonia rex ‘Escargot’ is delightfully elegant. The twirling variegation makes this variety instantly recognisable! Spirals of olive-green and silver create an eye-catching pattern on the top side of each leaf, while the underside is covered in soft pink hairs. Begonia rex hybrids are tender house plants that are grown for their beautiful and colourful foliage which brings an exotic feel into your home. In winter, it produces small pale pink flowers making it even more stunning. They are easy to look after and maintain, just keep them in a bright but lightly shaded spot, out of reach of cold draughts or radiators, and in a room with a temperature of over 16C (60F). in the spring and autumn months, water freely whilst ensuring the pot drains well each time. Reduce the amount of watering in the winter but be sure to not allow the soil to completely dry out. It will enjoy some humidity to keep on top of pebbles and water, as the water evaporates it will create a humid atmosphere around the plant. Feed regularly between March and September.Height and spread: 30cm (12).
