Magnolia Wilsonii
Exotic and eye-catching, this Magnolia is a striking specimen tree! The lightly fragranced Magnolia wilsonii has dazziling white blooms with prominent crimson centres which dangle from the branch tips of this spreading, shrubby tree. At its best in May and June, this Magnolia flowers late in the season. Once established the blooms of the Magnolia wilsonii make an extravagant display. In autumn, the pink fruits that follow can be up to 8cm (3”) long. Perfect for creating a focal point in woodland areas, this species of Magnolia is extremely hardy, and thrives in a partially shaded locations. Height and spread: 6m (19′).
