Family Fruit Tree – Pear

Perfect if you have only a limited space for growing fruit trees, but would love to have a wide range of delicious varieties to enjoy! Each of these trees has had several outstanding varieties grafted onto the single stem, so you can enjoy picking them all from just one tree! Self-fertile. Supplied in a 5 litre pot. Semi dwarf rootstock – height and spread 2-3 metres after 7 years. PEAR – Five mouth-watering favourites on a single tree! Conference – The best known of all pears, ‘Conference’ is excellent eaten as a dessert pear but also exceptional when cooked. Doyenne du Comice – A popular and very well flavoured pear with sweet and meltingly juicy flesh. The greenish yellow skins sometimes develop a rosy flush or perhaps even russeting. A reliable and heavy cropping variety. Bonne Louise – The medium sized fruits are pale green-yellow with a deep red flush. The flesh is tinged pink, totally smooth, juicy and very sweet. Beurre Hardy – Beurre Hardy is a classic French pear from the early 19th century, which has long been popular in England. Beurre Hardy has an excellent flavour, and the buttery melting flesh which is characteristic of the best quality French pears. Gieser Wildeman – ‘Gieser Wildeman’ is a Dutch, small, brownish-yellow pear that although unsuitable for raw consumption, is a superb cooking pear. Cooking transforms it into a slightly sweeter, red pear.
