Elstar – The Elstar apple is an apple cultivar that was first developed in the Netherlands in Elst in the 1950s by crossing Golden Delicious and Ingrid Marie apples. Golden Delicious – Golden Delicious is a large, yellowish-green skinned cultivar and very sweet to the taste. It is a favorite for salads and apple sauce. Jonagold – The apple has a fluffily crisp fruit. It is juicy and aromatic and has a sweet-sour taste. The skin can also turn out fully red or green other than Golden-Red. Cox &ndash – Often regarded as the finest of all eating apples. Rode Boskoop – Firm, tart and fragrant apples.
