Astrantia Plant – Roma
Despite their starry decorative appearance, astrantias have been a valued constituent of perennial borders for generations and can actually cope with a range of adverse conditions, especially prolonged wet soils. These exceptional plants produce a profusion of pincushion-like flowers on wiry stems all summer long. Plants are slug-resistant and drought-tolerant; flowers are attractive to bees and butterflies and will last for up to two weeks in water! Can also be dried for winter use. A useful border plant for moist, shady areas, where little else will establish. Roma – Flowers June-August. Height 40-50cm (16-20"); spread 40-50cm (16-20").
