Salvia JS A little Bit
This new Salvia is just a little bit special! Salvia ‘A Little Bit’ is a perfectly hardy cultivar of Salvia nemerosa ? but whereas the individual flowers on other popular nemerosa cultivars such as ?Ostfriesland? and ?Caradonna? are small, Salvia ‘A Little Bit’ has much larger, deep purple flowers held on a tidy, compact plant which is only 40-50cm high. This makes for a plant which is high impact but perfectly suitable for smaller borders and even pot culture. Successive flower spikes are produced below the first main spike making this an especially long-flowering perennial. Regular deadheading will prolong the flowering period even more. Like other Salvias it is perfect for a wildlife garden as it is highly attractive to insects. It also makes a lovely cut flower. Salvias are invaluable border perennials ? not only do they flower over a long period, but they add useful vertical accents to borders, breaking up the soft hummocks of other perennials. This fabulous new introduction is sure to become one of the most popular hardy Salvias. Height & Spread: 40cm (16).
